Default Trans leaks

On my 02 f150 fx4 I just started to notice a small drip coming from where the trans meets the motor, but when I put it in drive it seems to spew fluid, I honestly have no idea what it could be, help please. Thanks in advance.

What color is the fluid? Just making sure because these trucks have a notorious oil leak on the back side of the passenger side head.

If it is red fluid and coming from there, you've got a converter seal or pump seal leak, most likely.

What does it smell like? Compare it to the dip stick smells. Nothing really changes in the engine when you shift the lever from Park to Drive. Odds favor transmission.

Plus, if it's "spewing" the level should be dropping from the source. More dipstick evaluation.
