Default Sport Model

What makes up/goes into a "Sport" model? I'm looking at a 2003 with a 4.6 automatic. I don't see the "Sport" model listed in any of the car value books. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks

Mine also came with 17" wheels. Other than whats already mentioned above I don't know the differences about sport model either. Mine is 4x4 but in my opinion has week leaf springs in the back. Sags a bit under a good load. I'm replacing the leaf springs soon with something a bit stiffer.

I think those are take offs from another model. This trim level also has painted mirrors and fender flares.

Those look like the King Ranch rims.

think they were used on some sport models too.

referencing above, sports did not all have bucket seats. many have a bench.

to my knowledge, a sticker, ptm bumpers, mirror caps, ptm grille (if bar grille) ptm flares (if truck has flares at all (some non-sport trucks also had ptm flares))

Those wheels came on Sport models with power windows, locks, etc. If you had a base sport (no carpet, manual windows, etc.) you got the chrome covered steelies.

Really? There have been two (new at the time) Sport's in my family. One 99 4x4 V6 MTX bench seat with no power anything and vinyl floors- had the chrome steelies, and a 00 2wd flareside automatic V6 with all power and buckets- had those 17's. Any I've seen since then have had only those two wheels on it.

Maybe I'm wrong... probably am... wouldn't be the first time. LOL!
