Default Speaker recommendations

2003 Supercab Lariat
Anyone have a speaker replacement recommendation? Something that would be a plug and play in original locations and openings.

Are you just replacing the speakers or upgrading the whole system?

For the most part if you want plug and pray any 6X8 will do the job

As stated above, most any 6x8 will fit the holes. As for "plug and play," there are adapters that will plug into the factory connectors with spades for the speaker tabs. Some speakers come with them, others you much buy separately.

I know years ago when i replaced speakers in minivan I found factory adapters, of course after i cut and spliced in! They are on Crutchfield and amazon, but the way amazon delivers now you could wait a month!
