Bent Crosshairs

2003 SCrew, took the spare tire off so that I could relocate and rewire my 7-pin plug. When I went to put the spare tire back up under the truck it seems as though the "security" socket that came in the glove box striped out! Now I can not get the spare tire up.

Does anybody know if the Lariets came with this "security socket" located in the glove box and all non-lariets came with a standard notch style setup? My plan is if there is a "non-secure" setup to swap out what I have for a setup that will actually work.
