Default Some type of Lift

I was looking to get a lift on my 2001 f-150 4x4 but i saw some of the prices for 4''+ suspension lifts and just don't want to spend that much money. Also heard how body lifts aren't good for your truck so i was just looking for some suggestions. Not looking to go any higher than 4" (2.5-4 inches would be the ideal height for the front and back) and don't do much off roading.
-Thanks, Chris

alot of ppl have bodylifts and i havent heard any complaints about them, just have to make sure you install it the right way and they dont mess with factory ride, atleast thats what it says...well find out tomorrow since im putting a 3" on tonight. the only thing thats bad about them is the gap between the frame and body after installing it, make sure you get gap gaurds. the lift cost me $177 and comes with all extensions and hardware needed, pain in the *** to install though.
