I I have been getting a terrible shuttering while driving( nothing to do with my snapped leaf LOL) and a random misfire and running to lean code pop up an awful lot lately, So I went and talked to an old mechanic who had helped develop the modular motors tritons and so forth, he told me, to save my self a couple hundred dollars, go buy a new PCV VALVE, and a new EGR Valve, so I just finished replacing both only to figure out that my Pcv valve was bunged up like no tomorrow and probably never changed in the 318,xxxkm on the truck and the egr valve was original from 2000 and had a crack in the housing, so few hours later I'm finished, new bolts in The egr valve new gasket lines are sealed no more air leaks. Test drive time...


My ponies are back. I misfire truck is like new again, no hesitation just go go go. So anyone else with a 4.6/5.4 triton with the hesitation/ stutter problem may I suggest just change PCV AND EGR
