Would this winch be safe to use on my truck?

I know it's cheap and you get what you pay for but I figure even though it's cheap it's rated at 12,000 lbs so it'll last a while. Thoughts?

 

Ive been looking at this winch as well. I think that it may not be quite as durable as may be a comparable Warn... but then again it is 1/5 the price. Looking at the two there isnt much difference only that the harbor freight is a little more powerful, 6hp as opposed to 4.6 on the Warn. I say go for it. for the price you wont find anything even close in a name brand winch. just my .02

I bought an off-brand 2000lb harbor freight winch for my atv 6 years ago and its worked flawlessly since. Best part is I spent $40 compared $280 for a comparable warn.

 

I have read nothing but great reviews on the harbor freight winches!! Go for it!!!
