Default Smoking

So I have blue smoke here and there that comes out my muffler, I know it could be the rings..
Here's the thing tho, last summer when I bought the truck it smoked blue one time that I know of, then all winter no smoke! Now summer again and blue smoke? Could it be to light of oil? Or my rings for sure? It something else possibly ?

Well I had put the required amount in weeks ago for my oil change.. And it burned down some no leaks.. Put a quart in yesterday and it brought me back up to max

Ford says the 5.4 will use 1 to 2 quarts per oil change. I don't see how that's ok, but have you check the PCV valve and tube to see if there is excessive build up there?

Do you still have your cats or is your CEL on? Engines run richer in warmer weather, may be excess fuel. Have your a/f ratio checked.

I agree, that can't be ok. I changed mine twice since I bought my '02, absolutely no loss whatsoever.

It sounds like piston rings to me or another issue in the bottom end of the engine

If it was rings you would have a loss of compression as well
