Default sliding rear window

I have 97 F150 that has an electric(?) rear window. I need to know where the switch is for the window and where is the fuse for it? The owners manual doesnt mention it and my repair manual is mum on the topic as well. I think its a switch on the dash panel near the steering column that has arrows pointiing left and right. If so it doesnt work. So need to know fuse location . Is there an override any place? Thanks in advance for any help. Stumped in NC

The switch you are looking at is most likely for your adjustable pedals not a rear window. Thinking that if it is electric it is probably aftermarket in which case the switch could be anywhere. What makes you feel it is electric? Do you see linkage or wiring or...?

My understanding is that the f150 wasn't wired for the electric rear slider until 2002. Take out the back seat and you'll see the motor there if it's power slider.
Mine has two switches in the location you specify. The left switch is power slider and the right is for the pedals. They both have arrows on them going both ways.

Unless it was installed by a previous owner either aftermarket or from a scrap yard, then you don't have a power rear window. Rus is right they weren't available until 2002 model year. Which makes me sad because in a supercab the back window is kinda far from the driver seat.

So, I have a dummy rear window? Non sliding that is. I tried to push it but it would not move. any hidden lock on it some place Or is window just for looks? Dont think this was one of Fords better ideas.

I thought the window was electric because there arent any locking mechanisims,or handles to manually open it

Did F150 have power pedals in 97?

Manual windows do have a lock, so if yours doesn't then it is possible the previous owner did install a power slider either aftermarket or a used one from an 02. If that's the case, how to get it working depends on how he hooked it up, if he even did hook it up, he might have just put it there to replace a broken window.

I would pull the backseat top part and check to see if any wires/cables run from the window down behind seat area.
If take a picture of the window track area or window itself we may be able to help identify your window.
