Default Size matter??

Just got a new flowmaster 40 series with 3" inlet and out let. But I noticed they welded the stock pipe to the 3" hole. If I had them run 3" pipe from where both pipes from the cats meet, would it make a difference in flow or sound?

Dude I don't think it's a huge deal, these aren't high tuned, flame blowin, double Holley carb pumpin, heavily cammed race rods that are goin on a dyno twice a year...

Be happy you got a nice sounding exhaust and when ya do it next time, plan it and tell em exactly what ya want or do it yourself and make it the way you want

Do you mean change out your stock Y-pipe for a 3" one? If so your not gonna feel a difference in power but it will be louder and sound a lil meaner

I think he's talkin cutting the stock pipe right after the "y" and running 3" from there to the muffler, just not that big a deal imo

Ohhh then thats not gonna do ****, maybe make your exhaust a tiny tiny tiny bit louder but thats its. If your lookin for a louder/meaner sound and a tiny hp gain then change the whole y-pipe to 3"
