Default Single din bypass question

Just bought my 2000 f150 with offroad package, I don't really want to cut on the dash for a double din, so I was looking at a single din with the motorized screen. Will I still have to do the bypass so I can watch a DVD while driving, and does anyone know how sturdy they are made?

You will still have to bypass. And they aren't too bad which one were you looking to get

I think I'm gonna go ahead and get the 7 in double din, it's a boss model, I just need to know what dash kit and harness to get. Does amazon have any?

I don't know much about the double dins other than they won't fit. I think most people on here trim their dash and just stuff it in for a tight fit? I could very well be wrong though

I read the tutorial, just hoping it's not as bad as it sounds, I don't have the stuff to really trim the dash. But it I have a long trip to ak coming up so it seems like it'll be worth it

Honestly go out and invest in a dremel, best money I've ever spent and you don't notice it but you will use it more than you think, or if you just need it for something like this see if anyone you know has one you could get ahold of for a bit they have so many attachments that will shave off just a little bit lol. I'll have to take a look at this how to and see how bad it would be for myself!

Good advice, doesn't look too bad, just take a bit of patience. I'm gonna try to get mine done by Friday if not then Monday next week and I'll post some pictures
