Default Shudder....tried everything else

First post!! Hope y'all can help out....

1998 f150 4.6l 170k miles. Developed what feels like torque converter shudder caused by the lock-up clutch intermittently engaging. I have done a complete tranny fluid replace..about 12 quarts. There are no CEL codes. I also tried Dr. Tranny Shudder fix to no avail.

Any other advice? I wonder if the lock-up solenoid could be sticking?

Hmmm tell me more about the rear diff and why it could cause these symptoms. I'm pretty sure its
the lockup clutch as it only does it in overdrive when the lockup clutch is engaged

well now that i think about it the last shudder my truck did was when i was pulling an 18' trailer and it shuddered really bad going up a steep hill, after that my trans started leaking fluid real bad out of bell housing, changed front seal the other day and to my dismay the thing is still leaking. talked to a trans man and he thought its either cracked torq converter or pump bushing, guess i will find out when i drop it.... again!

turn the OD off and drive it. if it doesnt shudder you know its the converter. the rear end maybe. other parts in trans (clutches and bands) probably.
