M thinking about going Friday and purchasing a 1999 ford f150 red in color it has 180,000 miles. The has went out and it has some body damage. But I can do body work and I have a transmission at the house. If it is still there Friday I think in Makeing a road trip! Ha ha

That thing looks beat to hell. I cant understand why people neglect their sh*t like that. (My neighbor bought a brand new King Ranch PSD dually for his work/farm truck. Needless to say its beat to crap) I could maybe see an XL work truck in that condition.. but a lariat? Lol looks like the previous owner knew it was on its last leg and just abused the snot out of it haha

I'd buy it for that. And punch the PO in the mouth before I left for treating a truck like that. I know it's a truck and trucks get used but there's no point in not maintaining it like that and beating it to hell.

Haha imo if you already have a good trans.. just swap out the trans... crank the everloving crap out of the torsion bars. Block the rear end. Weld the spider gears. Squeeze/massage/cut/sawzall some 38s on there and have an $800 blast of a wheelin truck.. with leather seats.

Rcruz - yours was a rescue truck? Great Job! You obviously have a knack for bringing one back from the dead. The $800 one is a deal, if there's no frame damage, and the engine isn't full of codes and ghosts you need to chase. Plenty of part-outs around to help bring this one back (and you can get Expedition buckets in case the Lariat bench is toast). Lot of body work ahead of you!

BTW, a lot of Gen 10s around here are used in lawn care and general maintenance service, but few Lariats. Many XLs look like that $800 job. Shame - but with your skills and sweat equity (plus a trip or 2 to a pull-a-part or Craigslist), you may have something good over there!
