Couple ways. They look factory, and your truck has 80,000+ miles, your truck is bouncing around a lot, or you get a lot of front end drop when you hit the brakes, I'm no expert, just what I have herd or been told and found to be true

Well my I just hit 146,000 and my truck is a 97. And my truck does bounce a lot. I'm sure they are still the original ones. Thanks man. Do you know around how much they cost and which ones are good?

My '02 is at 197k with stock shocks and they still seem to be in decent shape. When i finally decide to get new shocks i'll probably order them from here:

I just put 4 new Procomp es9000's on mine. I have put about 100 miles on them so far and they seem great. I used the first time buyer code and paid $150 on autoanything.com

Are you planning to do the instal yourself?

Good to know, I just bought a new set of procomps! Lol

My truck was bouncing around bad and I could hear and noticed that the bushings where the shock is seated started to dry rot. Figured that was a good indication to replace em.
I got mine off of 4wheelparts.com for about 170 for a set of 4. I also have a 4" lift, thought it was a good deal..

For a more inexpensive shock check out advance auto parts we sell monroe and can order rancho. I have the monroe's on the front end and they have been going good for a year now.
