Ive tried and rode a few diff shocks(rancho, monomax, bilstein, edelbrock) an my fav would havta be the edelbrock performer ias shocks. There a lil pricy( like $80-$90 a shock) but u def get what u pay for. They have a little patented valve(ias-inertia active system) in the shock that stays closed while u drive on street/smooth roads for tight handling but then as soon as u start drivin on bumpy/dirt roads the valves open up for more shock/oil flow so they absorb the bumps alot better. They make em for lifted trucks too

I got my skyjacker 8000s my truck is just leveled out and I bought the shocks a few weeks ago and installed them last week untested them out on a few dirt roads and some bumpy roads they hold up really well for the cash flow spent

IMO!!!
Just about any route you take is 100000001x better than the stockers so even if you settle or a ok/decent/whatever the budget can handle shocks you'll be happy with the outcome ad performance and plus like I said anythings an improvement

Okay so I have read this thred and looked at a few places. But my big question is where are you guys getting your parts. Iv owned mustangs for years and know where to get parts for them but this is my first ford truck. I'm looking for the skyjacker shocks mostly. Iv found the kyb's and the rancho 5000's ( which are having a sale right now) but if you guys could suggest websites/stores (military discount is a plus) it would be appreciated. And maybe some 2 cents, I drive a 2000 f150 5.4l 4wd. I'm looking for a good everyday shock with occasional towing (horse trailer) and beach use.
Thank you

I got the skyjacker 8000's off auto anything and they are pretty good foot what they are.

They aren't any fox shocks by any means but honestly I've had billsteins and ranchos and I would put them right up there with it

www.autoanything.com

I believe there is a rebate like 35$ till the end of may and I used my military discount via calling they also can piggy back the 15% and 10 dollar coupon for first time buyers so let me know how you make out

I order all my stuff through advanced auto parts because they price match rockauto.com. Also, if you know what you need you can order it on advanced's website and just say pick up in store. The website has deals all the time for 15% off or something like that. So you save 15% and still get the part the same day. Assuming its in stock.
