Nope. They are a pretty simple fix. No need for an alignment unless you start messing with the control arms or something like that.

I'm in the same boat. I am really considering the KYB Excel-G's. They seem to be an OEM replacement but with slightly better improvement. In all honestly I would like to get a shock with a bit better performance, but I have an F250 light duty and there are not a lot of monotube shocks that will pair both on the front and the back. I really don't want to spend $300 on the Bilsteins, even though I know they will be good. I would like either the KYB Gas-A-Just or Monomax, but neither come in a rear shock that will fit my truck and I really don't want to have a different type on the front versus the back. I have read a lot of good things about all KYB shocks in general so I think they are worth the look. Let us know what you choose.

I put Gabriel ultras on my front and rear from autozone for about 200 and they also have a lifetime warranty through autozone and they ride like a dream

I have found very little information about Gabriel shocks for use on trucks. I do read good things about the Ultras, but it seems not many people use them compared to other brands.

I just took off some failed Ranchos and replaced them with Monroe Reflex Monotubes. $145 for four. I'm very happy with them.

I'm not happy with the Ford engineer that came up with the top mount for the rears, though. <grumble> Two hour job for all four.
