Default Shock replacement

Hello All, What is the normal interval for shock replacement? My FX4 has 105k on it, is factory ride height with plans only to level front, and still rides well but not quite as well as used too. Any sugestions on brand Rancho vs Bilstein? all feedback, experience appreciated.
