Default Shake when braking?

When i brake from about 45mph+ my steering wheel shakes real bad. I doesnt seem to affect my braking performance and i dont feel anything in the pedal. Does anyone else experience this or is this indicative of something needing to be tightened?

Normally if it is just when braking it will be your front rotors...

If it is your rotors they might be able to be turned (if they are thick enough) or replace them.

Front rotors are warped. Also check the front caliper slide while your at it.

Are you a late breaker? The heat will warp the rotors. Break sooner and softer.

If you feel it in your steering wheel front rotors
If you feel it in the seat of your pants rear rotors

Needless to say if you work at a shop or have a buddy who does have them or yourself run those rotors down a lathe

Also make sure you clean the caliper slides and look at the piston boot on the caliper along with the two slide boots making sure they are not ripped

Problem will go away
