Default Shake at 40-45 mph

Hey guy. When i hit the 40 mph mark my truck starts to shake pretty badly. It smooths out after you get past about 45 mph. I just got new tires. Could it be the tires are out of balanced? U-Joints? Wheel bearings? Thanks in advance.

check to see if they are balanced right. if not, FORCE whoever balanced them to balance them for free

Did it just start shaking after you got your tires?? How many miles are on the truck?

I have 91,000 miles on the truck. It shook with the old Generals on it but not as bad as my new tires.

I just replaced my shocks too, but it was shaking beforehand. It got a little worse with the new shocks though.

if the shop that did the tires is reasonably good in your mind then signs point to a bad u-joint - I would recommend getting them both done at the same time (most of the price of the job is the labour - I made the mistake of only getting one done and about four months later the other one went).

I got my tires from Discount Tire. In my mind they seemed nice and knowledgeable but i would most likely get them balanced before i do anything since it is free.

What kind of a shake are we talking about. Like a vibration such as something from an unbalanced driveline, or a shaking of the tires such as death wobble
