Ok so I finally got bucket seats to replace the Bench seat, I have an 04 heritage and the seats came out of an 04 fx4 but the drivers seat is electric, does anyone know what the easiest thing to wire the seat to would be, I was thinking the 2nd cigarette lighter but I don't want to loose it cause I use both of them.

I don't think that circuit has enough capacity to run that motor. Check your manual to see which fuse is designated for that and what size is needed. Best thing you could do is wire to that place in the fuse box and add the fuse.(Assuming the wiring to the top of the fuse is there)

I have cloth bucket tan seats and am looking for tan leather buckets-would I be better to get the factory covers for my buckets or find new seats? I have the usual bench in the back-is there a cover for these? I measured and buckets won't fit in the back-too bad...

OEM leather will cost.. i got mine at a pretty good price off ebay, but that was just luck. i think its usually around 500 per seat

I find my 04 Heritage cloth buckets are pretty comfy...I drove the old truck on a 5000 mile round trip and it wasn't too bad...

I guess I'll keep them...

Well alot of grinding and cutting later and I got both seats in the drivers seat is completely hooked up other than the power wires, I hooked up the seat belt sensors and airbag wires the passenger seat has the seat belt wires hooked up but there are 5 or 6 on the passenger seat that I don't know what they go to. There is a red with black stripe and a red with white stripe, then a pink with orange stripe and a brown with white stripe and a black wire, it's a manual seat so I don't know what they all go to, I'm guessing two of them go to the air bag sensor for that seat but I'm not sure if i tie them into the same wireing as the drivers seat. Oh and the drivers seat has a the green power wire and the black ground but there's an additional green wire smaller gauge then the green power wire.
Then on the truck wireing I do have three wires running under the seats with the wireing for the sensors that might be for power on the factory seats but I don't know they are grey with a blue stripe, black, and pinkish orange with a yellow stripe that just run across the cab in the same bundle as the rest of the seat wires.
