Default Seat removal

2003 Supercab Lariat leather, power seats:

Hi folks. Thinking about replacing my carpet and LMC seems to have a nice pre-formed set. My question is; how hard are these seats and console to remove? (One old guy with reasonable skill). Also, does anyone have a better source than LMC which is $129?
thanks

Slide the seat all the way forward and remove the rear bolts, the slide the seat all the way back and remove the front bolts. You have to slide the seat belts down through the seat backs. Not too bad a deal if you have a T50 torx bit.

Start with your rear seats... I never could get my rear seat bolts broke loose. I snapped 2 torx bits trying to loosen them. Gave up and went a different route on my project. I wasnt replacing carpet so I just changed my plan but yeah... i had a feeling my rear bolts werent coming out without some acetylene persuasion.

I’ve had them out three times when I was doing layers of sound deadening. It’s incredibly easy. Just listen and remove the bolts. Youll have to re position the sears a few times to get access to all of them but it’s no problem at all. I can have my driver seat out in three minutes.

If your truck is at all rusty, go under the truck and wire brush and put some liquid wrench on then exposed portion of the bolts. Thee bolts are fairly easy to find.

Well Good Luck......due to age & living in a rust province it was always a challenge for me!! ...
I have removed a few seats in my life with great effort & breakage of that # 50 torx bit...
(after you get them out the first time you are good to go/ just grease them going back in)
I would strongly suggest to lubricate them with PB blaster or fluid film etc.
I also have replaced these bolts with metric hex heads!! Mucho easier later!!

think an impact wrench would make it easier? Are the threads or nuts welded to the body?

I used carpet from rock auto. Not the cheapest, but the better grade molded carpet. The seats removal was easy. Making adapter brackets for the replacement jeep wrangler seats was a bit harder.
