Sct livewire ts is locked
Hey guys, buddy is selling me my livewire back and its locked but it was on my truck before it was locked, question is will it work on my truck still even though all the flashed are gone?

I would say no , and I'm sure franchi will probably chime in to confirm. Why would you buy it back if it's locked? Have your "friend" unlock it from his truck before you buy it back, otherwise he's not a friend that's doing you any favors.

I sold it to him for $300, he locked it up on company trucks, buy back is $125 and the reflashing fee is $65 from what sct has told me since I did more research earlier. So no screwing thankfully.

Huh. I can help ya. been off for a week, so couldn't do much. Anyway, I did my own research when selling my tuner.
If the tuner is Married, and has no unlocks: $150.
Tuner is unmarried but no unlocks: $65.

So what you are saying is the OP would buy it back for 125 and since it has been used prior and reused again, he will have to pay 150 for the reprogram right? So in total he would have 275 plus freight each way? That breaks down to around 300 total for a used unit. Hmmm! Plus the time to send, have repaired, sent back. I think I would pass unless he came back with under 100. JMO of course. Just seems like too much for used.

No. Its just $65. Those prices are situational and do not combine. If it was married and 0 unlocks, then you dish out $125.
EDIT I believe I made a mistake. It is $150 and not $125 to unlock a married and 0 unlock tuner.

I thought that if it was VIN LOCKED then it is Married. Is that incorrect 03f150?
