Default Screw console swap help

Need help... got an Expy console... do the brackets mount to the existing studs in the Supercrew, or do I need to get those studs out of the cab so I can run the bracket bolts in from the top down? Seems the studs are too long to allow the rear bracket to sit flush on the cab floor?

There should be holes in floor that the bolt to. You have to cut the carpet to get to them.

My Supercrew already had a console in it. The issue I'm having is the Screw console sits down on top of 4 studs that come UP out of the bottom of the cab. They utilize the same holes that the Expy brackets would have a bolt that runs DOWN into them. If I sit the Expy bracket down on the studs coming up out of the floor they are too long to let the bracket sit flush with the bottom of the cab.

My options are to either cut the studs coming up out of the cab down short enough to make it work or use a stud remover and try to get them out so I can bolt the Expy bracket in from the TOP down. My concern with removing them is I have tried and I feel like I'm about to break something... I've put almost 80 ft/lbs on them with a stud puller and the haven't wiggled...

I've read those studs are spot welded on the bottom side of the cab from the factory... makes sense why they wouldn't budge if that is accurate.

Has ANYBODY here swapped an Expy into a Screw? This is '01 to '01. If so did you run into this issue with the studs in the floor and how did you solve it? Seems chopping them off is the best option...

I'd have to see a picture of placement. As the expedition brackets use existing seat mounting holes.

I think those holes are only used for seats if you have a bench. The Screws use the same holes as the Expy. Just Screws have studs coming up out of the floor that you run a nut on to while the Expy bolts downward. No big deal except the studs are too long and interfere with the Expy bracket. I think I may just notch the bracket rather than cut the studs...

My screw has holes and no studs. But I have a front bench. I would do whatever is easiest. If you could get pictures of where and how it interferes that would be even more helpful to work out a solution.

I cant afford a full front interior swap but I'd really like to have the expy console. So Alternately I'm looking for a floor console.I have a 40/60 anybody know of a good floor console that matches up to the lower dash well enough to look clean and bolt down? Close to a factory fit?
