Default Same Muffler?

I was looking into the flowmaster 40 series muffler, and then i read somewhere the the thrush welded muffler is basicly a copycat of it. Is this true cause the thrush is about $30 cheaper then the 40 series?

Glad your posting this! I've actually been wondering the same thing. I can buy a thrush welded for $27 and a 40 series is $70 where I live.

Funny you should mention that cause, right after i posted this thread, I did indid look at the cherry bomb extreme, but i don't know if I want a muffler that loud cause its the loudest muffler cherry bomb offers, unless it sounds like the the 40 series that is.

Here is a link to where i might have found the info about the mufflers being the same. There are a few guys who mention the mufflers to be or sound the same.

Yeah, it does seem like they are the same. I also followed the one guys link to youtube and listened to some vehicles with the thrush welded. Funny it never occurred to me to just go to youtube and type it in. Alot of peolel on youtube say that they're the same muffler as well. Good job on the link, I think the next time I get a chance I'll have to go pick one up.
