Default Rusty Power steering line

Has anyone replaced their power steering line/hose that comes out the bottom of the reservoir and goes into who knows where (just looked at it briefly). Mine is getting pretty rusty and I'd like to get up replaced before it starts leaking.

Well I have the 5.4L so idk how much different they are if at all. But yes it was real easy. I would get all the fluid out and then replace all the hoses and the steel line

Did you have to use a special tool to get the lower part of the line off? There seems to be hardly any room

I replaced both of mine, fairly easy, just time consuming. The lines go into the steering rack. No special tools needed.

Edit: I thought I was in the 04-08 section. You dont have a steering rack. My bad.

If it just has rust on it, I wouldn't worry about it. If it was leaking, sure I'd get into it. They aren't that difficult overall, just a bit messy and they can be a pain starting the threads going into the gear box. Remember not to go aver about 20 ft lbs or you will eff up the seal and it will leak.
