Rust bucket
Bought a 1999 that was previously registered in Wisconsin. Bought it sight unseen but knew it didn’t pass initial inspection due to rust, leaking gas tank and no parking brake. Haven’t seen any other issues, work progresses:
Front fender, will add the lower bend tonight:

While it looks like you are doing good work I've a question... How long have you been a masocist?
I all seriousness, Looks like you will end up with a great truck, good luck.

There's a standard cab with a V6 that has "an engine issue" which is probably USD 2.000, but the seller doesn't know (or want to say) if it is an ignition problem or water in the engine and a valve salad.
This one and some elbow grease and a bucket of paint seems like a better buy. I'll have it sandblasted and epoxied under after I've addressed the visible rust, more will undoubtedly show up. I am almost done with the right side now, once I can wheel it out and turn it around (more space on one side in the garage) I'll take the bedliner out and fix the visible holes in the bed on the inside of the wheels and hope not much more appears. The bed rails are undoubtedly shot but I'll wait with those until I've got the bed off and upside down inside my shop.

Some yoyo apparently tried to fool the previous buyer, the cab supports were "fixed" with fiberglass bondo, the inner sills were patched with some 5-6mm plates to make the sidesteps hang in place and the holes in the fenders were patched with bondo kept in place with cardboard on the inside(!). It looked quite OK from a distance, but I could poke through the sills and fenders with bare fingers. Fortunately, the seller said it has "rust issues" so I was prepared.

I remember now I saw your earlier posts.
I forgot you were in Norway.
You are doing a great job.
How much does it cost to ship a truck there (if you know)? Or was this one already in Norway?
