Epoxy can be a great solution on some repairs but you don't just Epoxy over a rusted panel, that isn't the correct way to fix something. The rust will continue to spread. Rust is like a cancer, you have to cut it out completely or it will return.

When buying body panels, only buy the best of the best.

Aftermarket stuff is JUNK.

I bought aftermarket rockers and fenders.. ended up selling them cheap on kijiji. They didn't even line up with the truck. OEM fenders did however and my rockers and cab corners were homemade. I was planning on patch panels on the box but I ended up going with a southern box as to save any future rust problems I would have.

Do it right or don't do it. Cheap body work will just rust in a couple of years again and you'll have waste your money. It makes sense to do it right the first time instead of having to do it every few winters.

Here's my 97. 200,000 miles on salty roads.. It has new rockers, cab corners, a box, doors, a floor and the cab from the back window right down to the floor has been cut out and redone. It was done a few years ago and still looks like this. Was it cheap? No. But if you plan on keeping the truck, it's worth it.

I disagree on both counts. Right, panels can be cheap IF, - you don't know how or what your purchasing. That requires a little research, talking with good auto body guys can steer you in the correct direction. I can tell your just not informed since you don't know mention the suppliers you used. Someone had to make those rockers...just who do you think that was? I listed two suppliers on the other page I've used for good if not perfect panels. Hit the site as they devolge who their supplier is. Yes, they earned their reputation in this business.

You really can't justify a great paint job if your not in orange peal range. Don't mean to discredit what your saying, but it's bogus without proof. So hard to properly judge from just one photo. Although,- that picture is beautiful, - it's really not enough.

You get what you pay for ? I wish, - the way it should be considering your meaning. Actually, the only way to truly get what you want is to do it yourself most of the time. You can pay more for absolute junk then it cost for a perfect product. With that in mind you rely on people - 3rd party.
In sense your right, but that not always a good thing lol.

Reason for the post is because yours is misleading. Sometimes that bugs the snot out of the ones who truly know and worked for it.

EDIT: Speak for yourself about body work only lasting two years...yours might! It's definitely not cheap! Sure, if you don't know what your doing it's easy to get wrong. It's an art vs cheap. Lot's of practice. Done correctly it will last a long time.

Far from it, - it's just ONE way to go.

Say it right, - it's the only way to go for you.
