Default Running rough!!

Well I was driving home and The motor started running bad and stumbling and my check light started flashing but it went away after about a min but was still stumbling but not as bad as when the light was flashing..the code reader says #4 miss fire and one of the banks is running lean and 4 other codes are pending.

I called my mechanic and he said it could be my plugs and wires or a bunch of different things but cant get it in till next week...

My plugs looked fine a month ago and o just don't think it's that. Any ideas

I would start off by checking for vaccum leaks and see if your cats aren't clogged.

It also wouldn't hurt to clean your throttle body and MAF sensor.

I did check for vac leaks and couldnt see or heir any. I did take out my Pcv vale but nothing changed.

I have the older coil pack setup. And from what I'm heiring I half to replace both of them..and there almost $60ea plug wires are $54 and spark plugs are $3.00ea crap load of money to throw at it if it's not the problem ya know...

My check light has always been on cus of the #4 miss fire
And when ever I reset it, it ran worse until the light came back on witch was about 150 miles. So I just left it be sense it ran better.

I don't know how the older style is set up if you have two only replace the one that #4 cylinder is going to and it wouldn't hurt two change your plug wires pull the plug in #4 To see what it looks like if it ain't bad reuse it

Well I cleaned the maf and the tbody and checked the #4 plug wire and reset the computer. The plug wire is still soft with no cracks or damage.

The light is off at the moment due to the computers cycle witch is around 50 miles...
But runs the same. I didn't have time to pull #4 plug and look at it cus I had to get to my other job.

There are two coils, 4cylnders each. Newer motors have a coil for each cylinder.

From what I have been told I need to replace both or it could mess with my timing or what not cus one side is getting better spark then the other side

It was the coil.
I pulled the #4 plug out and fired up the motor..got no spark.
So cleaned the plug really good and tried it again and got spark but 2hrs later I tried it again and no spark so tried it again with a new plug and still nothing.
So I figured it had to be the coil.

Back to her old self I was worried after fixing it my power would go down like when I reset the computer but it still puts me in the seat when I floor it.
Thanks for the help guys
