99% sure plugs aren't the problem as from his list of maintenance he had the rough idle before he changed them. Try again.

if he didn't use the right plugs it wouldn't solve the problem either, at least i tried to help the guy when no one else tried. you just came in to say i was wrong and that its not plugs-that helps a lot

Suggest you clean the MAF and change the PVC valve. This is inexpensive and good maintenance even if it is not the problem. Look for vacuum leaks and look at the IAC.

The PCV can cause your truck to run ruff.

If he said anything other than motorcraft, you would tell him to change the plugs. Wasted time and money when to me, it looks like his problem was pre-existing which rules out plugs.

Not saying there is not a possibility he had a bad plug and got a bad new plug but chances are very slim.

Not knocking your opinion at all, it's just that I would go about it a different way and doing something like a plug change twice is not fun.

Also, I am not paid to provide steps for troubleshooting so I don't feel obligated to give any suggestions but do when I feel fit.

Anyway back to solving issues rather than bickering like teenage women. Check for vacuum leaks, you can google a few ways to do that or I can give you some tips. I would also check the idle air control valve. Clean it and make sure it isn't stuck. Easy replacement at 50 bucks if it is bad by chance.

I recently have had to have my intake gaskets replaced they were leaking.I also did the pcv valve, and replaced a few hoses. May be worth having a good mechanic look at it if you can't see something obvious. Might be cheaper in the long run than throwing lots of parts at it. But that also depends on the mechanic. Good luck

You mean to tell me plugs aren't the first thing you'd change again?!?!?

I kid...I kid.
