He already had all the plugs out by the time I got there. One did break on him and another was broken halfway done the thread. No clue how that happen. He's going to extract tomorrow and button it up. I'm going to get the coils and do those myself.
Never heard of that happening before in these heads. This is a first, I don't know how it could ? All these years....how?

I've seen the porcelain crack in the past from a sloppy plug install.

Same here, 14 years of being on Ford truck forums and this is the first I heard this happening on a 10th gen. Anything is possible I reckon.

It what it is. Not much more to say really. He's an honest guy who does great work. Many people around here feel the same way. So he snapped a plug. Let's say it was him and not the plug. Who's perfect? Who hasn't screwed up on the job. Only man I don't want saying oops while he's working is my tattoo artist.

And please don't take the text as if I'm popping off. Not intended to be read that way...

Never gonna happen. If a plug gets busted on my truck its gonna be my fault. No one works on my vehicles but me

Seriously, that's all beside the point. I attempted to save you some cash, it's all I can do. It's a fairly easy step by step fix coming from a guy who's worked on for the most part, just these trucks for the last 12 years plus. Help, -is what these forums are all about. Your choice, your money.

Regardless, I wish you luck all the same.

That's how it has to be in most cases. Tech's/Mechanics can be the best in the world but they aren't allotted time to cover ALL the bases most repairs require. Not their fault. Time is money and they're always being pushed often never getting the respect they deserve. I could never do it for a living, I can't/won't work that way, but I respect who put up with it.

I used my Snap-On IM31. I'd really like a DeWalt cordless. A good friend of mine bought this one through my Amazon account, and he likes it a lot. Don't think it's brushless though.

Nice one, wouldn't mind one of those, but man , have so many air tools I'm hung up on using for stuff that size.

I picked this one up a few years ago and use it 90% of the time, -
