Unhappy Resetting engine codes and emissions inspection

Now, if this is a stupid question, I appologize in advance. I brought my truck over to a buddy who had a code scanner. He said the fuel mixture was lean and he reset the codes. Now, if I bring the truck in for an inspection tomorrow morning, will it fail inspection for not being ready? I can do suspension, brakes, and all the other stuff but when it comes to engines and computer stuff, Im lost.

The light stayed off btw...

Depends on the state. You will have to run it through a certain number of cold start cycles before you get rid of that code.

as long as your light is gone and the truck performs like it should...no problem...it still may be running lean though...it set the code for a reason.
