Default Replacing Exhaust Manifold Debacle

As you can see from the pictures attached. I'm lost at what the best way to fix this is . Anyone ever run into this problem? Everything was going good until that happened.

If it represents the rest of the exhaust I'd replace it. Trying to weld a new flange on that pipe looks like it would be futile.

EDIT: BTW, in the future disconnect the exhaust before removing the manifold. The manifold weight can put a suspect pipe over the edge.

The rest of it isnt to bad really. I'm putting shorty headers on it instead of OEM manifold. I was thinking maybe a off road y pipe

If a Y pipe is the plan ask the others about what a single cat does to the OBDII parameters of the PCM. I have no idea if it matters or not.

Shorty headers won't do anything for you on these trucks. To notice anything, you'll need to do long tubes. Also, keep the cats. Not worth the effort to make it run right after (tune).

Hit up Rock Auto for a new Y pipe. Best prices I've found.

Correct, IF the Y pipe your purchasing is 2.5". That's all you need to make it work. Headers or OEM manifolds and a 2.5" Y.

I knew the shorties wouldn't do anything performance wise but they came with the truck. I didn't have to buy them so i figured I'd use them.

Use them, no biggy. IF you can find a 2.5" Y your all set.

Or were you asking about that broken exhaust stud?
