Default Replacing brakes

Well the time has come I need new rotors. I've done lots of research and see most people recommend brembo and ebc. But both of those are out of my budget being I also have to pay registration this month. I was looking at some slotted rotors and I found these.

I was curious if anybody has used these. I didn't realy want drilled rotors but if anybody used these with good results I may get them. I was also looking at these.

What does everybody recommend that costs around $100 for both rotors.

I've been very happy with Adaptive One pads and rotors. They are more than a hundred for the pair however. I have never used summit racing or slotted rotors.

I mostly wanted to stay around $100 for just the rotors. But I found these and I found a lot of powerstroke guys running them and nothing but good reveiws. Also lots of other brands running these brakes with no complaints. No reveiws over 3 years tho but hopefully by then I'll be able to afford more than $100.

I'm going to be buying them later this week.

Nows a good time to switch to expedition front calipers and rotors. They are bigger and got more stoping power. Plus it's an easy simple swap, there's a write up somewhere

I've had the Powerstop rotors on my truck for just over two years and have had no problems

If I didn't have another truck to build I would. But rite now I need to save up money for that so I'm trying to get the best I can for my budget.

Never heard of that. Expy's are larger ??

Brembo's are about 130 I think, maybe cheaper. You'll have to look. Best for the money IMO. Screw the slotted type, you want beef for these trucks so they don't heat up nearly as much. I went with Brembo's 6 years ago and they haven't needed turning yet. They clean up easy with a palm sander. I've never bought pads for the 98. I purchased pads, good pads back in 93 for a 90 150 and never paid for another set yet. Lifetime warranty that carried over to the 98.

Since they use twin piston systems, their worst enemy is the factory rubber brake lines. Ford lines are junk unfortunately. Cause more than just one issue, they effect everything at the wheel.

You can get what your looking for at a GREAT price, - if you know what your looking at.

I'm going to be ordering the brakemotive disks tomorrow. Braided lines will be ordered when I do my rear brakes so I can do a brake fluid change too.
