I bought a 97 f150 and the door lock cylinder seems someone tried to break into it by punching the lock out. The key lock is there still so o guess they didnt succeed, and i have another 97 f150 in my yard right now and the insurance company will be taking that. I wanted to see if i can take the locks out of my original f150 and use those to replace the one in the f150 i jist bought. I read that you needed to buy the exterior door handle but i wouldnt think it would need new door handle.since my lock cylinder is still in the door handle.

 

It depends on if the punched the lock only or they punched the cylinder out of the handle. From what I have seen you have to replace the handle.
