Default expedition questions

looking at a 97 expedition that my cousin has, he needs the money so im tryin to help him out. first off, it has a transmision leak (quart or 2 in a week), is this a common problem? easy fix? secondly the 4x4 doesnt work, it worked when he bought it but the front wheels wont lock in. assuming its a broke vacuum line somewhere. does anyone have a diagram on that? and third, how much lift would it take to clear 35s on 8" wide wheels with average backspacing? thanks!

To fit 35's you will need 6" suspension or 3" body. The front diif could be several things. It could be the GEM, solenoids, acuator, vacuum lines, or soleniods.
