Removing driveshaft

Default Removing driveshaft

Was wondering if removing the driveshaft would be something diffcult or easy.
Have 2 get it c-notch on it.

Its not hard at all. Undo the bolts connected to your rear end and pull it out of the tranny. May leak a bit of tranny fluid so have a bucket underneath for precaution.

super easy.. 4 bolts, just make sure TO SET YOUR E BRAKE & CHOK THE WHEELS!!
all you have to do is pull the 4 bolts off the pinion at the rear axel then just pull it down and slide the other end out of your trans.
p.s i dont know if it matters but if im changing u joints & i remove both at the same time i always mark one end or the other so it goes back in the same way

The driveshaft is hitting rite above what its from . All i have to do is unistall it and from to do the c notch on it . Idk what caused the probelm .
I had friend that happend same thig 2 him . But he said it if mite be b/c truck is 2 low 4/7 drop. He ended up doin a c - notch nd fixed the problem .

Do i do it with 4 stands under the truck .

chock the front wheel and put jack stands under the rear. when i notched underneath my truck wasnt much room between gas tank n muffler. i cut slots in the metal and bent them out of the way so it dont rub the driveshaft anymore. if it has scored your driveshaft look to get another one. ive busted two driveshafts before i cut that out more under cab

All im doin is removing . The guy who loweres my truck is goin 2 be doing the c- notch he cheked under and said it was stil fine but didnt think it would make it 2 his house drivin .

Get a new drive shaft, it has already sacrificed the integrity of the driveshaft.
