Default Remove rear blocks??

Hey everyone. I know I’m going to get crap for it but I want to lower the rear of my f150. Has anyone ran without any blocks in the rear? I’m not worried too much about payload as I just go camping and don’t pull with this truck. Any help or pics is appreciated. Thanks for y’all’s time.

People have done that on all generations of trucks without issue. You may have to get some shorter 2wd shocks though.

ok. I just didn’t know if there had to be a rubber or if it’s ok to run the leaf right on the bare metal of the rear end..

The 2WD F150's do not use rear blocks.

"I have a 2003 when I looked there was like an inch block on there. Idk if different from yours." Sorry Zac I saw this in the "new posts" list and did not check the 1997 - 2003 Ford F150 General discussion on the Ford 1997 - 2003 F150 truck.title. Too eager.
Yeah those photos are from a 2017. Hey, happy camping anyway! KM

Whether it’s a 2003, or a 2023, all 2wd get no block (FX2 exception) and 4x4 have a varying size block.

You can remove the block in any of the 4wd models and will have similar hight to a 2wd in the rear. Minus having slightly larger tires and the possibility of the longer shocks being an issue.

If your truck is 2wd, yes, the block isn’t factory.
