If you have a chipped key, you'll need a bypass module. I got one with the remote start I installed in my son's Ranger. It required permanently putting a key in it. It didn't work well at all. I replaced it with one that was programmable and it worked great. You have to have 2 keys with different chips to program it. Getting a key from ACE that they program to match the chip in an existing key won't work.
