I dont know what kind of problems you are running into...are you a rather large guy? (no offense) but I am a large guy and I have no problem crawling under my 2wd truck (even lower than the 4x4) and getting an oil filter wrench in there. I have changed my oil in under 10 mins no problem...I dont know how you are stuggling trying to get that oil filter off.

 

You could use that as an excuse to put a lift on your truck. Im sure the lift is easier to install than a remote filter base anyway.
