Overheating, misfires on adjacent cyl is cause for concern.

Id start with compression test on bank one if it were mine.

Could be unrelated, might not be

Hows your coolant level?

P1299 Cylinder Head Overtemperature Protection Active
P0147 O2 Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 3)

Are you sure those DTC's are correct?

Being your a 97, could be an ECT or CHT sensor malfunction. Not sure, those are some crazy codes.

You could be in Fail Safe Mode. That's what "Protection" insinuates. But you also have the 302 and 303. That's not the way fail safe kicks in so I don't know.

Is the engine indeed overheating ? Double check your information.
