Default Recall?

So I just bought my 02 f150. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if any recalled parts and fixes have been done. And the Nextel question would be. Can you take it to a ford dealership and have them make sure it is all up to date? I guess I just need general info on recall process.

Ya ford can tell you if it's up to date on any recalls and there is a website out there that you put in your vehicle information and it will tell you everything that is up for recall on it. I don't remember the name of the site but just search around and you will find it.

A good dealership will run a recall check based on your vin when serviced. The dealership I go to runs mine everytime I take any of mine in to check if there are any new ones. Take it in and get "the works" oil change (here is about $40) and ask them to check the recalls have been done.

Recall 09S09 is a cruise control deactivation switch leak problem, simple fix. Either a wiring harness or, a new deactivation switch located at the end of the master cylinder. Only on trucks, vans, rangers, town cars, Eseries, some GM and CrownVics.
Recall 11S21 I believe, is the fuel tank strap replacement recall, it ONLY APPLIES TO TRUCKS IN STATES WHERE THEY USE A LOT OF SALT FOR THE WINTER MONTHS.
Recall XXXXX I forgot the name of it but it is a recall to deactivate the DRL's on trucks made in 1997 and are from Canada. My truck is Canadian, but it did not have the recall, so I unplugged the module. No problems.

I worked for 2 years at a local Ford dealer, I was stuck with some of the recall stuff because they don't pay well, and Ford didn't want to pay a more experienced tech to do a simple recall.
