I got my letter on Monday. I still haven't talked to Ford, but I already replaced both of mine Nov 30th 2009. One strap was already snapped. I want new straps again now because of the recall and a refund for the ones I purchased and installed less than 2 years ago.

You will not get a refund. I have already talked to a Ford rep. Its not even replacement straps. Its a support cable added onto the existing straps, and the strap will be replaced at the same time if they are all ready rusting through a portion of the way.

When I talked to my local dealer I was told I didnt need the letter since my VIN does come up in their system under the recal. Im just waiting for them to get the parts back in stock as Ford is behind getting dealers the kits.

My truck took just over 45 minute to do on a full tank. I also have a skid plate so there is no reason for them to take too long. They got me in the minute I got there because they didn't have anything going on. Feel like I'm liking my dealer.
