kinda defeats the purpose of a "truck" lol a pickup used to be the cheapist thing on the market now look at the prices.

yea ive got over $3500 wrapped up into this rebuild right now with a bunch of things not even started yet like redoing the rear suspsnsion, and the air management and and finishing the interior.

I am selling the old in dash and have a buy here that i'm just waiting to come pick it up. < never realized how many ppl were interested in it till i said i yanked it out of the my dash and said i had a new one!

If you want to get a quality air ride kid installed on your truck you will want about $3k+ and a good shop if you dnt know what your doing.

How does it defeat the deifnition of a truck? I still have a completely open bed that i can easily and have easily carried a ton of furniture and everything i brought back with me when i lived in Florida to ohio and made the drive.. it has a 4.6L v8 with a lil work done to it so its still peppy and when I put anything in the bed that i worry about fallowing out i have a piece of card board cut to fit in the bed that coverers the notch just fine... the air ride holds a total potential weight of 10400 lbs on the suspension includeing the weight of the truck... I sill havemore bed room then a crew cab and how many harley trucks or blackwoods are used for "truck work"???? so it gets more use then people would expect.. even though it lays flat on the ground.

That is one incredible truck. Congratulations on your project. Looks great.

One question, please. You stated that:

"..and dont mind the saggin bed form the cracked frame on both sides, THATS BEEN FIXED ALSO..."

Would you have any details regarding this cracked frame problem ?

This looks like it could have been a major disaster under most circumstances.

Thanks,
Ken H.

thanks..

I couldn't tell you what had happened before I got the truck but the frame had been either cut or some how cracked on both sides of the frame between the axle and the cab. Someone had butt-welded the crack shut and it had broken since then. I don't know how or why this was.. but I had the truck up on a frame machine to straighten it then had it reinforced and gusseted.

Any new pictures for us?

I also think it defeats the purpose of having a truck, but I give you lots of credit and respect for all of the work you put into it, and I even learned a few things, lol
