If you have no previous experience repairing axles and no knowledgeable friends to assist I strongly suggest taking it to a shop. I'm assuming your talking about one or both of the pinion bearings. You have to remove the axle shafts and differential before you can remove the pinion. The inner bearing has to be pressed off. You also have to have an understanding of bearing preload and how to set it by crushing the crush sleeve which can take up to 400 lbs of torque to set. This is not a job for a novice or even moderate shade tree mechanic. It requires special tools, etc. And finally, if you make a mistake, it could cost you well over $1000 for trying to change out $30 worth of parts yourself.

Swapping the rear for only $85 is good. I chose to rebuild mine. It's not that tough if you are willing to spend sometime reading, watching and learning on the internetz

just swap the rearend and roll. bleed your brakes and hook up the sensors and you should be rolling in no time. if you are asking how to get the old one out just get some pb blaster a deep socket and pull the u-bolts.
