Default Rear window

I am going to replace the trim around the rear window. The window is good but leaking around the seal. Did a Google search and see that is a fairly easy repair.
what would be the benefits of replacing the window with a sliding window. The one I have is solid
. I just thought if I have to remove the window anyway would it help with the resale value of the truck

Swap in a slider only if it matters to you. I’ve got one in my ‘03 and I don’t even pay attention to it unless I’m making a supply run for 10’ pvc pipe or rebar and I need to slide that stuff through that window.

These trucks aren’t worth enough in resale now to make it worth it generally. I mean, you can always find that one buyer that just has to have your truck, but with a slider, but odds are you’ll find way more tire kickers first.

i enjoy my slider when all the windows are down. Brings back memories of the triangle vent windows. Not quite as good but still nice. I wont have a truck that doesnt have a slider...but not everyone feels that way. I dont think it will increase or decrease value so I wouldnt swap to one unless YOU want one.

Slider windows are just another point to break and leak.
I have had my truck for over 6 years now and have opened the slider maybe 3 times, one of them was when i was replacing the window seal.
If I had a regular cab I would probably use it more, because I do ride with the windows down often, but since I have a Super crew, I would have to get out and climb in the back to open and close the window, and it is just not worth it.
