rear shock thread difference after replacement?
Replaced rear shocks today on 03 king ranch. right hand side was a pain in the butt to get off, but after finally getting it off, new bilstein shock went on fine and after tightening was able to see about 8 threads at top nut.
but after installing left one, the top nut wouldn't tighten any further, just seemed like it was spinning and there was no threads to be seen. lowered truck to see if it would compress any more to push the post up further to get more threads, but no luck, although backing it up and pulling back into garage didnt seem to make any lick of difference, shock compressed as normal and no movement at top nut. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this? is there suppose to be any different load or compression on the left?
will try to get some pics after?

well the shock shaft will spin if you aren't holding it. Were you able to get it to tighten at all? Or did it just spin on by hand and that was it? Grab the boddy of the shock while trying to tighten it. Sometimes it helps
