Default v6 cam sensor problem HELP!

2000 f150 4.2
hey guys gotta problem on my hands. let me give you guys the skinny of the situation.never had any problem like this. it started as i drove to the bank. the truck started fine drove fine for about 5 mins then started bogging when id leave an intersection, didnt think anything of it, then at the next stop sign I get to it does it again but this time it bogs and with throttle it would stutter and bog out. pulled over and it idled rough. turned truck off and popped the hood looked around and noticed the neg batt cable was loose from the terminal. so i tightened it up. and then it ran fine for about 2 mins then turned off on me. turned truck off let it sit and started it and it ran fine. parked it and towed it to my house the next day. check engine light was still on from flashing when ut first died. got it read and it was cam sensor. so tore her down replaced cam sensor. started right up with no engine light (i think because i had the battery disconnected) ran fine at idle but would stutter when i applied throttle off idle, like leaving a stop sign or something. so then i learned that there was a relearn process when you disconnect the battery. found it and did it. it idled better and didnt stutter when i hit throttle off idle, so in other words it ran fine and had no check eng light. the next day when i went to turn it on, it started fine BUT the check engine light came back on. same code as before . but it runs fine. tried clearing a few times but it keeps coming back on when i turn the key forward after it being off. i have tried EVERYTHING and cannot get a grip on what my issue is. ANY help is appreciated lol

When you changed the cam sensor, did you clean up all the dirt and debris around it? Also was the electrical connection clean? Make sure these areas are clean and use a little di-electric grease on the connection and see if that helps. A lot of time the sensor does not go bad but the dirt and bad connections cause the bad readings. good luck
