Default Rear caliper bracket

I’m going to be changing the pads, rotors and calipers on the rear of my truck.
Do I need to purchase new caliper brackets also?

Not typically. Only if they've been damaged.

Don't believe the sliders go into the bracket, only the slider threads.

I wouldn't replace anything that doesnt actually need it.....why do calipers need replacing,? If they don't need replacing you're just throwing money away that you could spend on something that does.

I don't live in the rust belt so I don't tend to see the problems that some of y'all do where they salt the roads

Loctite on the bolts if you remove the bracket.

Might not even need calipers. Pads and rotors are the most common parts needed for a simple brake job.

Only time I replaced a caliper on a vehicle was when it seized.... And that was pretty evident cuz the rotor was blue once it quit smoking.

I had a rear wheel cylinder on a drum brake leak air into the hydraulic system every time it retracted when you let off the pedal...... That had to be replaced.... That was the damnedest thing to figure out why I couldn't get the brakes bled on that truck.... I went through several quarts of brake fluid before I figured that one out.... It did not leak fluid out only air in.
