Well i think i messed up here i bought a edge cs for my 97 5.4 off of Ebay its like brand new got a good deal unlocked and everything so it was all good to go put it in my trk starts doin its thing then i says an error has occurred reboot and try again. restart it and now it wont even find my trk also the trk is pretty much dead now what do i do? the cs came out of a 99 did i mess up here or what?

 

Chances are you have a weak battery and it lost power in the middle of the process. The same thing happened to me once.
You will have to call Edge, download the Fusion software, and they will guide you on how to upgrade the Edge through your computer.They will re-load the stock program onto it.
Make sure your battery is fully charged, I hooked up a booster to my battery as I re-loaded mine.
Hook the Edge back up, and let it do it's thing. The truck should fire right up then.

Did Edge tell you you need a re-flash??? That doesn't make sense. Edge will do the re-flash with the programmer.

When Mine crapped out, Ford couldn't even re-flash it. The Edge had them locked out. I had to have it done through Edge to get through their software that was half installed.
Cost me $60 or so at Ford for nothing.

 

well i took mine to ford where my cousin works and he reflashed it for me and runs like a champ now gotta call edge tomarrow and get my programmer taken care of

 

You have a cs made for a 99. You have a 97. I'm fairly sure that there are many differences in them years, as far as engines go at least.
