Default Radio on without key in ignition?

So my radio will not turn on unless I have my key in the ignition. I'm having a double din aftermarket radio installed soon and I'm wondering if there's anyway to make the radio turn on without the key in the ignition.

no.. Its designed to work that way, if you turn your key back all the way you can turn the radio on but not without the key, think about it.. If you left it on you'd have one hell of a dead door nail battery.

Wrong. Most of the F150's from 01+ Allow the radio to stay on until a door opens. I know because my 03 did it from the factory and still does even with a aftermarket radio.

Ok? Your Point? Read what I said. I said most. It deals with what particular convience package the trucks has. My 03 does it, and so does my 97.

I'm just meaning is it possible to have the radio turn on with the truck when I use my remote starter, that way my USB or CD will get read and start playing before I get in.
